We are what we eat, but also what we think and do. Discover how Ayurveda, the oldest system of health care in the world, teaches us to create a better quality of life through practical daily activities, delicious food, and increased awareness.
A Packed Weekend of Cooking
Ayurveda views health and disease as the result of how we interact with our environment, our daily activities, our food, the way we think and feel.
Balanced & Harmonious interactions lead us towards health whilst disharmonious interactions lead to disease. Ayurveda magnificent tradition and practice guides us towards developing greater harmony with our lives, our bodies, and our environment through all of our senses.
Vani teaches you that understanding your individual body type (dosha) is the foundation for your health and wellbeing.
Your innate nature is called your body constitution or Prakruti, ( which means Nature ). Your unique balance is determined at the moment of conception and remains with you for the rest of your life.
Prakruti & Dosha
Your Prakruti determines what is in harmony with your nature and what can cause you to become out of balance. Knowledge of your body constitution is your road map and is essential to developing optimal health.
Your body constitution determines how you react to various foods, environments, and general life practices.
Depending upon our body type, certain kinds of foods are more useful than others; so are certain sounds, textures, colours, smells, activity and all the things that come into our lives.
We react physically and emotionally to the changing seasons. When we live, eat and do things that go against the best interest of our dosha we are actively damaging our mind and body.
Knowing your Prakruti is like having a roadmap to guide you along the way of your unique life. With this roadmap, you can implement dietary and lifestyle practices that will support you in health and wellness
Knowing your Prakruti and how the Doshas interact in your body means that you can avoid the areas that contribute to disease. It also means that you can work with any imbalances that arise and come back to your true nature Prakruti.
