Sandra's Words -
Sandra is a Wise Earth Ayurveda Food Breath & Sound Practitioner. She worked as a PA for many years before having 5 children and then ran her own Therapy Centre for nine years. Also trained in Reiki, Integrated Energy Therapy and Theta Healing, she became interested in Ayurveda many years ago through the work of Linda Bretherton.
“As a busy Mum of 5 children, I would often fall asleep on the sofa watching TV in the evenings, feeling lethargic and unmotivated, questioning what ‘it’ was all about. I started to look for answers, I went on lots of courses, each one making me feel fabulous and ready to tackle the world only to revert back to square one after the initial excitement disappeared.
Then I found Linda Bretherton on Facebook and was introduced to Ayurveda. It all made perfect sense, of course, we are all different, how could one diet, one way of life be suitable for everyone? The more I learned about Ayurveda the more I loved it! So much so that I graduated as a Wise Earth Ayurveda Food Breath & Sound Practitioner, something I can use to bring Ayurveda to others. My journey with Ayurveda just kept on giving, releasing old beliefs and embracing my new-found freedom. There have been challenging times along the way but they are definitely outnumbered by the amazing changes that have happened through living an Ayurveda life!
My Spiritual Name
One amazing moment happened last year, I was given my ‘Spiritual Name’ by Mother Maya Tiwari, the founder of Wise Earth Ayurveda – the ceremony was so beautifully given by Linda, truly so meaningful, so humbling and full of LOVE. My name is Kalyani कल्याणी which means "welfare, beautiful, lovely, auspicious, good fortune, happiness" in Sanskrit, I am so very blessed.
When I look back to my chocolate bingeing, takeaway evenings and rushing around trying to do everything so that people would like me, I see how far I have come and how Ayurveda has given me that freedom, none of which I would have known without Linda’s guidance and love.
I Love Ayurveda and I’m sure you will too.
Namaste, Sandra xxx”
