Rasayana Focus on Breath

Rasayana is simple terms means rejuvenation ... its an ancient set of practices in relation to Rasayana herbs that keeps the body, and mind youthful. This is not about trying to be younger NO, it's about maintaining the Ojas (the life force) that gets depleted for all sorts of reasons.
As I am focussing on early Rasayana skin and beauty information in the Feb Membership Web Guidelines, I thought you all may be interested to know something about rejuvenation that's completely free.

QUALITY DEEP BREATHING

Quality deep breathing has many health and beauty benefits. Breathing exercise should be a part of your dinacharya ( daily routine)

OXYGEN

We know that our bodies rely on oxygen, but what happens if we don't get enough?
From a skin and beauty perspective, lack of oxygen means dull skin, poor circulation, and unhealthy cells. Quality deep breathing will increase circulation, bring energy to your cells giving a healthy glow to the skin, skin cells are at their healthiest when they have enough oxygen.

TOXINS

Breathing exercises help to eliminate harmful toxins in the body. The body will release up to 70% of accumulated toxins through breathing.

IMMUNE SYSTEM

Shallow breathing forces the lungs to work harder to cleanse itself. When the body works harder to eliminate toxins, the immune system weakens. We know what happens when our immune system is compromised. So now you know that quality deep breathing can go a long way to give you healthy glowing skin but also work towards building an immune system. A weak immune system simply leads to various illnesses and infections.

GOOD QUALITY DAILY BREATHING

I'm not talking about a specific exercise, we have some of these on this website.

Simply notice your breath throughout the day. Take a deep long breath into your belly and gently allow the breath to flow through the body, deep and low, without too much effort.
Ayurveda says in this instance its best to breath deeply through the nose if possible.
Know that every deep breath is adding to your increased health and well being xxx
